Surviscor Commentary:CIBC Investor's Edge continues to disappoint with little to no changes in terms of features and functionality to investors. CIBC online banking is always leading edge; however, that has not rubbed off on the online brokerage offering. CIBC IE's main strength is its banking relationship and a package commission program. Despite not having a pure active trader platform to speak of, its commissions allow an active investor to benefit despite the lack of robust active trader features and functionality. One visit to the Key Milestones section of the website will summarize CIBC IE's ability to keep up with the exisiting online brokerage landscape. The last significant marketed event was in October 2005 when they launched a new look and feel. That would explain the fall from grace after being ranked number one in Q4 2004 by Watchfire GomezPro and now sitting at 10th in the Surviscor rankings which were closely mirrored to the past reviews by Watchfire.
